My last camera was bought on a whim.. it was a casio M2. I bought it just when they came out. I liked it's small size, fast shutter speed, audio recording and 30 second videos in AVI format.
It came time to upgrade & I thought I wanted 'more of the same' so I bought a new Exilim, the EX-Z40).
It's nice for capping "memories' but for 4 megapixel, the 'pure camera' part of it isn't as great as I'd hoped. The exposure time seems a little longer than my M2, and I've noticed zoom shots have a little 'fishbowl'.
